Louis Tomlinson's album release week has taken an unexpected turn.

The former One Direction member, who released his sophomore studio album, Faith in the futurehad to postpone some promotional appearances after suffering a broken arm following a concert at Irving Plaza in New York City on Friday (November 11).

He is set to hold several in-store signings for the album in the UK next week. Those signings will be postponed, according to Tomlinson's update on Saturday (November 12).

“Thank you to everyone who listened to the new album, it means the world to me. Last night's show in New York was amazing. "Unfortunately on the way back I fell and broke my right arm," Tomlinson told fans on social media, where he uploaded X-rays of the broken bone.

"Therefore, I will have to postpone the in-store signing until next week," he wrote. "New dates will be announced soon. Thank you for your support and apologies to everyone coming next week."

Tomlinson's Faith in the future comes almost three years after his debut solo release Walls, bowed to no. Upon its release in January 2020, it peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200.
